French for Children
Alliance's Children Course follows the development of the child.

Toddlers: Les Zouzous is a French immersion programme for children aged 2 to 5 years old.
Kiddies learn how to read out words and write properly in their own language. French reinforces these acquisitions.
Kiddos learn how to read and narrate stories.
Teens are no longer kids and are trained as autonomous pupils setting learning objectives for themselves.
Ados use French as a means to reach out to other youths of their age.

Yearly beginner intake for long term courses: March and July
Holiday classes: June and November.

At the end of these 5 levels our young learners are supposed to reach a very comfortable A2 Level of the European Council. The aim is that within two to four further terms in the adult classes, they will be able to cope with the DELF-Junior-B1 exam, the equivalent to GCE 'O' Level.

NEW: An exam for primary-school level French - DELF Prim

DELF Prim
The DELF Prim is intended for children learning French as a Foreign Language at primary school level (children between 8 and 12 years old). It is the first stage in the DELF-DALF series. It assesses four language skills essential in learning French: oral comprehension, written comprehension, spoken production and written production. A child who obtains a pass (50 points out of 100) in all of the exams will be awarded the relevant certificate. Depending on the level, all exams last between 1 hour and 1 hour 55 minutes.

The DELF Prim is built on the same model as the DELF for adults, but the subjects are adapted to suit the age group in question. It is divided into 3 levels: A1.1, A1 and A2.

DELF Prim is important for your child
DELF Prim is an opportunity for your child to demonstrate their French language skills and obtain certification which attests to their strong abilities in this domain. The subjects explored relate to the child’s familiar environment, such as their family, leisure activities and school.
