The Superior Courses are workshops designed for people with fairly good mastery of the language. They help maintain their proficiency level and open up, through French, new horizons, be it job perspectives - Business French, Translation - or cultural areas - cinema, literature, news, French society.

Translation
The translation course aims at improving the mediation skills of people at work in situations where French and English are in contact. This course does not prepare learners for a career as a professional translator. The aim of the course is to develop professionalism in handling mediation situations.

Actualité et sociétés
Actualité et sociétés is a course for aficionados. It aims at enabling people who made it to a high level of proficiency (minimum B1, preferably B2), to maintain a superiod level of French. The aficionados analyse the news from the week, discovering and discussing issues in each and every country the students are from. The workshop is a fascinating cross cultural venture.

Français des affaires
The course Français des Affaires is a professional course with a practical approach. It aims at improving the way professionals, working in the field of business, use French in situations where French is needed. It’s an «open task course» and functions on the basis of co-learning. The working groups are constantly reshuffled according motivation, category of skills trained and exam reference charts. 2 textbooks are recommended: Français.com and Français des affaires.Visits of companies and presentations by professionals will be developed.


Le français dans tous les sens
This superior course is composed of modules and workshops designed for people with fairly good mastery of the language. They help them maintain their proficiency level and open up, through French, new horizons, be it job perspectives or cultural areas. The teacher deals with topics as varied as French society, business in France, French history and geography, literature, cinema, fashion, food and wine, the media…This course leads you to B2 or C1 Proficiency level of the European Council.


Perfect French
You have already reached an advanced level of French but you are still looking for the best way to make it «perfect»! This superior course is for you! Special attention is given to the choice of learning material (press articles, songs, TV series, documentaries, TV debates, feature films, plays, poems, short stories) to guarantee exposure to a great variety of discussion topics :  savoir-vivre, cinema, literature, news …This course aims at enabling students to master the French language.


Campus 4
If you want to further improve your proficiency level as to match the B2 or C1 reference chart (and later C2), you can choose Campus 4.  This superior course, based on a well-structured textbook Campus 4, aims at improving your writing and speaking skills. You should be able to deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling or staying in an area where the language is spoken. You will be fluent and spontaneous in the use of the language. In a word, You should become a confirmed independent user of French!


Vidéo avec TV5
This superior course is based on TV5 programmes and activities. TV5 Monde is the only global French language network, broadcasting 24 hours a day to more than 171 million households worldwide. The teacher makes use of this enriching tool in his classroom to add a whole new dimension to your teaching programme. This course aims at enabling people who made it to a superior level of proficiency (minimum B1, preferably B2), to keep up a good standard of French while indulging in an activity that makes sense to them. Their shared pleasure is to analyse the current news, to comment on them, to watch films or documentaries and to practice your language skills with a practical use of day-to-day French.


Sous-titrage cinema
This course will help advanced students maintain a good standard of French by working on French films and by acquiring techniques of translation. Those who like films will be offered the opportunity to create their own subtitles. This course aims at developing the students’ fluency and communication, their word power by refining their structures and enriching their vocabulary.


French Bookclub
Students who are fond of reading and discussing books will have fun in the French Bookclub. In this activity class, intermediate and advanced students read novels, short stories, watch adapted versions of the texts, get to know how to read and write book reviews, get a glimpse into texts written for songs. They will also get an overview in 20th literature and more classical literature.


SPECIAL : Worshop on French wine and food
This worshop entitled «Vins et gastronomie française» includes 2 wine tastings with a specialist and a fine dinner in a French restaurant, l’Absinthe. It will be organised only twice a year, during our May-June and November-December sessions. The courses will take place on Tuesday evenings from 7 to 9pm. Throughout the course, the teacher makes the students discover some unusual aspects of the French cuisine, helps them enrich their vocabulary to talk about different types of wine and dishes. Students are thus given the opportunity to practice their conversational skills and satisfy their appetite for French culture.
