Login to your AF student account >> Move the cursor to your name and select ‘’My Account’’ from the drop-down menu >> Go to the last tab ‘’Accounting’’, select the outstanding invoice and click the ‘’PAY’’ button to proceed.

Yes, you can register for our classes even if you did not start with us. Check our Term schedule for details on upcoming intakes.
Self-collect of books purchased online at Alliance Française. No mailing is available.
All our group classes are held in-person at our premises. Remote option is only available for corporate and/or private classes.
Commencement of classes subject to the number of registrations.
You are encouraged to register early to ensure adequate enrolment in your desired classes. 
In the event of cancellation due to low-enrolment, alternative classes with different pace and/or schedule will be provided. Student can request for a full refund if none of the alternative works.

Class-related questions you may have during the Term

For missed lesson due to public holidays falling on weekdays, makeup classes will be arranged on a different day and/or by additional makeup time over several weeks within the same term. No makeup class will be provided for PH falling on a Saturday and Sunday.
For missed lesson due to the student’s absence, makeup class is chargeable and available at $90/hour (up to 3 hours per term).
Transfer from one course to another within the same term is FOC (limited to 1 time) within the first 2 weeks of the term; after which, a $20 admin fee is chargeable for every transfer of registration.
 
We offer French classes for all ages from toddlers to adults, including bilingual children:
Zouzous Programme: 12 months – 5 years old
Zigzag / Les Loustics: 6 – 9 years old 
Adomania: 10 – 15 years old
Francokids / Francoteens: 6 – 15 years old bilingual children
Edito: 16 years and above

Once a week for toddlers and children classes on weekdays' afternoon.
Once / Twice / 4 times  a week for adult classes depending on chosen pace, on morning and/or evening on all days.


Using course materials suitable for age group and covering up to 2 units of the book each term:

•    Zouzous Programme: Les Petits Loustics 1 / 2
•    Zigzag / Les Loustics: Zigzag 1 / Les Loustics 1 / 2 / 3
•    Adomania: Adomania 1 / 2 / 3 / 4
•    Edito: Edito A1 / A2 / B1 / B2 / C1/C2 / Tendances 

Toddlers / Children classes takes up to 6 terms (ie. 1 year) for level completion.
Adult classes can be completed in 5 – 10 terms depending on the pace of the course.
•    A1 / A2 Level: 5 or 6 terms (ie. 1 year)
•    B1 / B2 Level: 8 terms (ie. 1.5years)
•    C1 / C2 Level: 10 terms (ie. 2 years)

•    A1: Understand and use common expressions at satisfying basic needs. Be able to interact in a simple way such as self-introduction; ask and answer questions about personal details, people and things you know.
•    A2: Understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance and be able to communicate and exchange on familiar and habitual subjects.   
•    B1: Be able to interact with ease on familiar topics with native speakers and handle most situations while traveling in a French-speaking country.  Produce simple connected text on topics and express ideas, aspirations, and opinions, etc.
•    B2: Understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in your field of specialization. Interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity with native speakers without strain and produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue.
•    C1 / C2: Analyze advanced texts and practice articulating in-depth thoughts. Use the language flexibly and effectively for social, academic & professional purposes, as well as produce clear, well-structured, detailed texts on complex subjects.


At least one internal assessment upon finishing of each CEFR level. 
You can take the official certification (i.e.. DELF Prim; DELF Junior; DELF/DALF Tout Public) at the end of each level for an international recognition of your level of French.

AF Certificate for students who passed the internal assessment is available upon request.
Under the new scoring system, students exempted from MTL will be assigned an MTL score between AL 6 to 8 in PSLE so they have a PSLE score comprising four subjects, for the purposes of S1 Posting. Please visit MOE website to find out how a student’s MTL score is assigned.

Our classes are open to all new students. When registering for a class at Alliance Française, you are required to possess a valid membership. The yearly membership fee is exceptionally reduced to $32 for our students and automatically added to your basket when signing up for a class.

Questions related to certification exams held at Alliance Française
Please email us at academic@alliancefrancaise.org.sg to check if manual registration is still available. 
The four DELF certificates (A1 / A2 / B1 / B2) are self-contained, it is not necessary to be the holder of the diploma of the previous level to appear for an examination of a higher level.

other frequently asked questions

 

Parents can accompany their children in the Prezouzous classes. 

For non-accompanied classes (i.e.. Zouzous 1 - Zouzous 4), if the child is new, teacher will allow the parents stay in the class with their little one for a while to help the child to adapt faster for the first 1 – 2 lesson(s).


Yes, course materials used for our group classes are available for sale at the Registration counter (2nd floor) during operating hours.
If you have learned the language before, a placement test chargeable at $15 is recommended to assess your current level.
Each event is published individually on our website. For example, if there are two screenings for the same movie, there will be two separate event pages for each respective date and time.
We do not share students’ data with other Alliance Francaise so you are required to approach the respective Alliance directly to retrieve your record.
Yes. We provide French ↔ English documentation translations and not in other languages.  Our translations are done by professional translators and are certified.  More details are found under TRANSLATION.
